We went there with my 8-year old son (and 1-year old daughter). It was really really cool. The atmosphere and magic tricks were very memorable. The food presentation was also fascinating.

We ordered everything a la carte. While the food quality was excellent, the portion sizes were miniscule. Our bill was 8600 yen, and we actually left hungry.

Still, I highly recommend for the experience of a lifetime. Reservations recommended (we didn't have them).

I've been to the one in NYC late summer last year and it was hella fun. The food was ok - nothing spectacular, although it was presented "pretty well" (hehe, you know them ninjas, they can be pretty tricky..) I guess my group was also lucky enough to have a really "fun" ninja-host. Their magician was also amusingly good.
Check it out when you find yourselves lost in the big city.

That ninja in the end was impressive! Although he wouldn't last long in ninja fights. If anything, he'd leave them in awe as he runs away

I saw about this restaurant in a "documentary-like" show here in Sweden and I was quite intrigued with the shinobi theme used- and I was really looking forward to take a look there once I get to finally have a trip on Japan (Hell, I HAVE to have that paid university in Tokyo!) but... wow, with all you have written it is mostly just show what they have there. What a shame...
Meh, I'll check it out anyway, although I suppose the costs are rather... expensive XD

That restaurant looks fun! Dinner and Ninja magic tricks, awesome. Next time I go to Japan I'll try going to one of thoses themed restaurant. I want to try the Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant that a friend told me about. Also, I'll be a bit more courageous and try to go in a Maido Cafe.

wow! i just sumble upon this blog when i was searching for some RECOMEN.
Its because the inviting 日本とアメリカマク video ^^.
anyway, i check out koichi ben and finaly ended up here, and been browsing for a while now (i love the J-dramaholic video XD, Koichi u own!!)
anyway, as i take it u guys travel around quite much ne~ ever visited oosaka? if one day i'm goin to Japan its my ultimate destination :P

The restaurant u guys visited looks a lot like the one i've seen in Shoujiki Shindoi.. All the Ninja theme ;)

PS: can i comeback later, this blog is just uber fun XD

That video at the bottom is so cool. Having ninjas cook right in front of you, and doing magic tricks looks really fun.

Viet: I seriously think that if you/we went again we could get away with eating less while still eating better food by ordering ala carte. Although, all your stuff looked pretty good to me. And you got sushi!

Also, remember that point during the trip where we were like, "Ugh, no more konbini food"? I think it might have been when we got to Kyoto...

This is one of the places that I would recommend when you head to Japan. I heard Steven Spielberg likes to eat their when he visits Japan as well. I definitely like the introduction battle when you first head into the restaurant and the ninja magic that is presented while you wait for your food is a plus. Also the presentation of their dishes look awesome; what other restaurant serves dishes with a katana blade or lights up your escargot with a fuse. Although the prices are a little expensive, I still think it’s worth it.

Did you loose the card? Or did you still have sovenier (sp?) safe somewhere? Haha. I would have probably lost the card, it would be somewhere safe, but I wouldn't know where. Haha. That seems really cool! I wanna go! The last trick was really wierd.
