Ever feel sad about the state of your closet? Like everything you try on is unoriginal and boring? That’s me right now. I’m in a rut (welcome to my pity party, haha).
To remedy that, I’ve started browsing fashion/shopping websites for shopping and ... Continue reading »

  • Thank you for sharing =] I'll definitely check them out. I also keep a long list of fashion sites (mostly Korean) if you're interested: http://eijsr.wordpress.com/websites/
  • Eoki:

Thanks, I'm glad I'm not the only one who collects Asian fashion sites, haha.
  • The fashion's great. The models are greater. Muhahaha!
  • i just want a bape hoodie (the shark one). i refuse to jump on the gaudy bape train. japanese fashion is cool since a lot of it looks tacky by western standards.

  • Thanks, Jeuce!
  • oh my that's sexy.
  • I saw this book called "fruits" that my friend had and showed all these crazy fashion styles in the late 90's. It was... interesting... Haha. I see it's toned down a bit in what I think was crazy looking. The colors were so bright and now they seemd town downed a bit. I like these new styles but it's kind of sad that the wackyness isn't found that much. Well, maybe not. Haha. But yeah, this is cool.

@ Erin: I showed a lot of my friends that "Bikini Jeans (Hoe Pants)" Article and they thought it was hilarious. I also showed a couple friends the Tofugu website in Japanese class and they liked it as well!
  • Nice. The Sibuya website is super hot, though all the good stuff I saw is for women :( Еrin, do you know Korean too?? And for the people who’re more interested in street fashion overall (Like Onimusha Nosferatu), check out the following websites:

caliroots.com has a lot of streetwear brands, including flashy ones like Rocksmith and Greedy Genius, as well as generally more hip selections from mainstream brands like Nike and Adidas.

http://www.billionaire-boys-club.co.uk/ - has some links to legit Bape resellers on ebay, as well as reseller websites.

I like a lot of BAPE stuff, as well as street fashion overall. However! Bape’s status has been downgraded in recent years because of all the fake bape flying around, as well as Nigo (the founder) just going for the money and not always caring about quality of designs. Also, Kaws, who was responsible for some of the cooler and more famous designs, like Animal Kingdom (google it), has formed his own company called Original Fake, so, as far as I know, we’ve seen less of his designs in the past year or two.

I’d be able to give you some more links if you tell me whether you live in Asia, the Americas or Europe.

Anyway, thanks for the article, Erin! If you see more websites with funky things like overalls, alladin pants, and other weird clothing articles for men, please share :)

P.S. Fredy, the book is a part of a two-book series (Fruits, Fresh Fruits), and you have to understand that most of the people in those photos make their clothes themselves, or at least modify their purchases extensively. If you go to Tokyo, you can still find plenty of colorful people and cosplayers if you know where to look!
  • Immelman:

Yeah, Sibuya is my favorite! I wanna dress like them D: Nah, I don't know Korean, sadly. I would love to go to Korea some time, but I've never been to a country yet where I didn't know the language! Oh, and you could always check out YesStyle for Sibuya's clothes. They don't have much, but they do ship to America. Just check under the "brands" section.
  • this is fashion, sounds great..
  • Wonderful article, just added the site to my favorites. Thanks so much.
  • so amazing the asian collections, all my stuff are asian inspired.they are beautiful with taste of class.
